The 1/4” and 3/8” offsets on the base allowing you to quickly mark lines at 1/4” and 3/8” in the mortise and tenon shoulders of wood boards.
• ACCURATE ANGLES: This set square's hypotenuse has markings for marking angles from 0 to 90 degrees in 5-degree increments. The square also includes 5 pre-set angles of 22.5°, 30°, 45°, 60°, and 67.5°, with corresponding Φ1/4" holes for fixed angle pin use. This is a nice tight slip fit and the pin won't fall out from the hole. The holes are just tight enough to hold the pin in place, still let you remove it by hand, and reposition for a different angle, making it easy to draw accurate angles.
